Overview
For the rest of the semester, we will be studying the events leading up to and the controversy surrounding the American involvement in Vietnam. You will be researching some aspect of the Vietnam War in order to create an annotated bibliography and to deliver an informative speech based on your research.
Goals
1. To practice research and citation skills
2. To develop summarization and evaluation skills
3. To practice written and spoken communication skills
Evaluation
You’re being graded on two aspects of this project, both weighted equally. First, you will be graded on your annotated bibliography according to the attached rubric. Second, you will be graded on your speech according to the attached rubric. Please note that your speech will be recorded to make my grading life easier.

Friday, December 11: Manuscript/outline/notecards due Monday, December 14: Annotated Bibliography and presentations due
